Had 3 machines that filter well but leak
Bought a countertop unit in 2020. Filter helped improve water quality quite a bit. But months later, it started a trickle leak out of the top. Customer service was very helpful & replaced the unit. 6/7 months later, that one started to leak out the top too. They replaced that unit under the 1yr warranty. Got my third unit. That unit does not stop running. It filters the full pitcher of water but keeps running until I pull out the pitcher. Then the spout contributed to drip another 2-3 oz of water so I set the pitcher in a position to catch the dripping water but off vector so the pump won’t run.
Customer service was very very helpful but I choose to live with the faulty device — I get clean water but without leaks all over my kitchen counter. Just inconvenience of placing the pitcher in a specific location on the device to capture dripping water.
Broken parts and costly repairs
I had the whole-home system for a few years. Initially, it worked well, but after a couple of years times, the system started leaking and parts broke. Aquasana was quick to replace the broken parts, but each time, a plumber had to come and fix the problems, which Aquasana does not pay for.

SITEWIDE SALES DONT INCLUDE REPLACEMENT FILTERS!!!!!!
Once you buy the filtration unit, they claim to have a great “SITEWIDE” sale on their filters (like, why would you buy another filter system when you have just bought one!)
The replacement filters are NEVER INCLUDED in the ‘SITEWIDE SALE’ and they’re very expensive!!!!!
Aquasana does NOT offer soft water systems
I purchased the whole house Rhino 600K for my 1200 Sq. Ft. Townhome. It definitely works for filtering chlorine and much improved taste of my water. I tested my water 2 months after installation and it is doing a great job of ridding my water of chlorine.
I gave it 3 stars because it cost me $600 to have a plumber install it for me. It was a 2 hour job. I hired my own plumber because the Aquasana plumber referral came by to give me an estimate and tried to tell me it was a 3-5 hour job and his price was $1300!! I called and reported this plumber to customer service at Aquasana since he is representing their company. A rip off. My advice is hire your own plumber.
The other thing I’d like to point out is that a water filter does NOT soften your water. If you want soft hair and skin you must buy a salt based softener. I feel they were dishonest with me when they sold me the unit. I specifically asked about this when I purchased the unit and was told it would work like a softener. It’s false advertising on their website where it states it will soften the water. Water filters do not and Aquasana does not offer salt based systems. I ended up purchasing a soft water unit from Culligan. They can add on to my existing Aquasana system.

I purchased their over the counter pitcher filtration system for $150 (sale price) with "lifetime water" subscription for filters. The filters cost $50 for 2 of them and we asked that they be shipped every 6 months. They were shipped approx. every 2 months and of course charged to my credit card. I tried to solve this problem but after several calls, just stopped the subscription completely, which they told me would have "repercussions". meanwhile, I had about 8 filters stockpiled, and they last about 6-8 weeks since it's just 2 of us using the water. Each filter has 2 rubber ring gaskets about the size of a penny. The pitcher is notorious for large seepage, and those gaskets are key to this. Recently I opened a new filter from its plastic to find the gasket overstretched and clearly defective. Customer service was exceptionally rude saying that had i not cancelled my subscription, they'd replace the filter for free, but since I did, they'd send me the gasket for postage of about $6.00. For a plastic ring. Which arrived and was the wrong product! (a gasket that was approx. 4") They also invited me to buy their new $200 pitcher, because the one I had was being discontinued due to the design flaws, but no discount offered (again, because I cancelled their "water for life" subscription. I strongly recommend that you avoid this company. Read the other reviews.... they are dishonest and difficult.
Breaks, and floods kitchen and basement!
This is a follow up review: when the correct part finally arrived, my handyman installed this water filter today. Tonight, the hose blew off (and my handyman is a licensed plumber who knows what he's doing), and proceeded to flood my entire kitchen, kitchen cabinets under the sink and my entire basement. This is a total piece of crap. DO NOT BUY AQUASANA!

I’m only giving three stars so I can add my personal opinion from the research I’ve been doing. I have no experience with this product and I’m not an actual customer yet. I just came across this water filtration system company while searching online for water filtration systems because I just recently purchased a new home and couldn’t believe how many negative replies this company has. Again, this is only my personal opinion folks. First, I’m sure the actual filtration system works and does what it is supposed to do. Second, most of the gripes and negative comments were about customer service representatives not answering the phones and being put on hold for extended periods of time and a few negative complaints were about receiving wrong parts. This happens with a lot of online shopping. It’s inevitable with todays world on how we ship or deliver parcels. In retrospect, I cannot speak on behalf of how people are treated over the phone and the type of customer service this company provides. I am going to give this product a try and experience the service myself. If I experience not so great customer service, I will say I was forewarned. The reason I made this post is because I did hours of research for a great water filtration system and in many new homes being built these systems are installed all over the country so it doesn’t seem like a terrible product. I’ll post an honest and reasonable review after six months on water quality, customer service, delivery, installation, and overall experience. Stay tuned.

Aquasana are scammers. Dangerous Product
Aquasana scammers please dont trust them
No physical address selling something you would be putting in your body. Try Googling them
If you give them your credit card that will charge it without your awareness. They try to make you believe you subscribed to the ongoing subscription.
Support pretends to put you on hold only to say the items you never ordered shipped... Funny thing is I called UPS and said the items from my tracking number wasn't picked up yet.
*** One more thing the Custom Charges for Canadians are insane!!! Buyer Beware.
I encourage more review need to be written they make it hard to complain about them
Customer Service suggesting a HACK?
What kind of company would suggest putting something TOXIC into a filter to make it work? Ive been going back and forth with this company for 6 weeks now. We have had two under sink water filter systems over the years with no problems UNTIL we called because the system just shut down after putting the new Aquasana filters in. I called and they said that there has been a problem with ONE of the filters, they will be sending a replacement to me, try that. (filter was too short). THEIR ERROR. System still would not work. I called back and they said hey try THIS. Put a quarter or two in the filter sump and that may make it work. I said....ok but then thought about it. A QUARTER in my water filter? Quarters are copper and NICKEL. Copper is used for plumbing but the NICKEL is toxic. Why would I DO that? And why would a professional company who made the MISTAKE suggest a stupid Hack? I called back and wanted them to replace all the filters so that they would work or give me a whole new system. FIVE calls and they refuse to do anything except suggest plumbers washers on the bottom of each sump. UNPROFESSIONAL and they lost a customer.
will not cancel filter replacement…
will not cancel filter replacement after i removed defective whole house and under sink filter a month after installation. customer service is a joke
